‘OH SISTER’ is a story of a young man’s love for a young lady from the nursing community and the torment he endured at the hands of her gentle kindness. A melodic tune played with punch.
These three seasoned musicians are finally recording their extensive catalogue and releasing their music regularly on the Black Cat Label. The band with their feet in the 70s and heads in the 2020s are writing material that echoes voices straight from the streets of London.
Tigger (ex Hustler) has joined forces with Brian Dear once again and they are writing and performing better than ever. With Johnny B on drums, they are the melodic powerhouse that is ‘The Surgeonaires’.

‘BREAKDOWN TIME’ is a personal contemplation, looking back at the carefree days of youth, the friendships, the stories of hijinks and a salute to those who are no longer with us.

This exciting live band have been entertaining audiences at the pubs and clubs of West London and have been going down a storm. This EP demonstrates the songwriting dexterity of The Surgeonaires, while the three songs share the tenuous link of escaping from bad situations, hence the title ‘Get Out’ with the finale being ‘Get Out of My House’.
This EP comprises three tracks that showcase the diverse writing abilities of Brian and Tigger:
When The Bullets Fly (Dear/Lyons) - The song depicts the horrors of war and violence and the attempted denial of responsibility by those who could stop it. Brian has expressed on stage his fantasy of melting down all guns and converting them into guitars. The band hope that one day our world leaders will see the light.
Runaway (Dear/Lyons) - The story of a young woman who leaves home and discovers the difficulties of survival and relationships in the big world. The narrative is from the perspective of her boyfriend who wants to deny her the freedom she craves.
Get Out Of My House (Lyons) - Originally released by Hustler on the A&M Label (Get Outta Me ‘Ouse) written by Tigger Lyons in 1974, sung back then by Micky Llewellyn and featured on their Hustler ‘High Street’ album. The Surgeonaires have produced their own updated arrangement as a welcome addition to the live set.
EP1 was predominantly a studio production with an abundance of overdubs. However, EP2 has been recorded to capture the natural live energy and sound created by these three musicians.

The SURGEONAIRES came together as a homage to 70’s punk band ‘The Brain Surgeons’ and this three-track EP is their first offering. Founder members of the Brain Surgeons, Brian Dear, Tigger Lyons and MickieP decided to record three great archived songs that were never released. The discovery of a demo recording session from 1978 was the inspiration to complete and master the recordings. ‘Love Lies Dead’ and ‘Me & My Guitar’ are from that recording session and Delicate Operation is a brand-new recording as a taster of what is to come.
