EP – A DELICATE OPERATION

The SURGEONAIRES came together as a homage to 70’s punk band ‘The Brain Surgeons’ and this three-track EP is their first offering. Founder members of the Brain Surgeons, Brian Dear, Tigger Lyons and MickieP decided to record three great archived songs that were never released. The discovery of a demo recording session from 1978 was the inspiration to complete and master the recordings. ‘Love Lies Dead’ and ‘Me & My Guitar’ are from that recording session and Delicate Operation is a brand-new recording as a taster of what is to come.
THE TRACKS
Love Lies Dead
Brian describes his early encounters with the opposite sex, his pursuit for love and ultimate heartbreak.
Me & My Guitar
Tigger reflects on the naivety of his youth and his ambition to be a rock and roll star.
Delicate Operation
Brian satirically animates the analogy of physiological control as a medical procedure.
