THE LINE UP
Brian Dear (Guitar & Vocals) is a dynamic vocalist who was inspired by the likes of Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen and Elvis Costello. A lifetime of experience, treading the boards as a soloist and front man for some impressive lineups which has made him an engaging performer. He is also an inspirational song writer who favours the Fender Telecaster as his weapon of choice.
Tigger Lyons (Bass & Vocals) was a founder member of Hustler (A&M Records 1974) and experienced the high life of 70’s rock and roll, touring with Queen and Status Quo, plus TV and Radio appearances. Tigger wrote and collaborated with other members of Hustler to write most of their material and he is currently enjoying the creation of many fresh musical ideas with his two comrades. He’s also a master of the low end, favouring the 4 string electric bass that plays a prominent role in the Surgeonaires sound.
John Barrett (Drums & Vocals) is a versatile musician, having played everything from traditional Irish acoustic music, jigs and reels to the heavy punk rock of ‘Steranko’ and their wild stage shows and open air performances in Korea which you can find on Youtube. John also contributes to the vocal element of the Surgeonaires sound. The band's tightness is largely due to his sharp timekeeping and focused rhythms.
